The millions of pixels glittering fancily,
with the digitized smiles and modem madness
sending signals flashing like stellar
paraphernalia over and through the satellites
and the fiber optics, blasting your face with
mans satiric scheme, cut and paste, now you
have your reality, but really your electric
empathy has led to your system failure, and
your hard drive heart has crashed, and now
you must reboot reality, cut and paste,
profound serenity all because...
"You have mail."

Blood
He's always sayin'
"I promise"
While he's biting his toungue
And she's always wonderin'
Where her love has gone.
Her love has gone
Love has gone.
And he's always wipin'
The blood off his chin
And she's always wonderin'
Where the hell he's been.
Where have you been?
Where the hell have you been?
Well he doesn't know
Cause' he lost track
A bit down the road.
She'd always known
She'd be letting him go
Yeah he'd be the first to go
I'm always the first to go.
You can see it in the paper
The headline reads,
"When they arrived he was dead on the scene"
And you can read it on my tombstone
"He'll always bleed"
Yeah I'll always bleed
&
Always be the first to
Go
"I promise"
While he's biting his toungue
And she's always wonderin'
Where her love has gone.
Her love has gone
Love has gone.
And he's always wipin'
The blood off his chin

Story by the Sea
You and me walked out to the sea
To lay our bones upon our weary skin
and took the day to rest all dreams
You would listen to me
As we laid our heads by the sea
Where I stole
Your heart
And we would watch the sun
Lay down his head
Behind the hills and trees
And wait for night
To tell the tales of home
And listen to the groan
Of time
And you would listen to me
As we laid our heads by the sea
Where I stole you heart
And the tide started to rise
Swept up and carried us away
Been cast off in unknowns
A place where our love will find a way
Then hope in the shape of an anchor
Held us both steady at bay
You would listen to me
As we laid our heads by the sea
Where I stole your heart
To lay our bones upon our weary skin
and took the day to rest all dreams
You would listen to me
As we laid our heads by the sea
Where I stole
Your heart
And we would watch the sun
Lay down his head
Behind the hills and trees
And wait for night
To tell the tales of home
And listen to the groan

Run
A sound sparked me to run
I couldn't see the source
That sound that put in motion
My final act in this world
To jump out with palms upturned
To blindly catch the front of a train
"release"
A sound sparded me to run
I couldn't see the source
I couldn't see the source
That sound that put in motion
My final act in this world
To jump out with palms upturned
To blindly catch the front of a train
"release"
A sound sparded me to run
I couldn't see the source
Twigs and Stones
I built my house out of glass
So everyone could see the mess
When I picked out the biggest stone
And from my knees down to my toes
Gave the stone a mighty throw
Well now you can't blame anyone but me
The polished glass you could plainly see
A naked man with an outstretched hand
"Oh walk away before I shatter your heart"
A little piece of glass your'e lettin' beat too fast
A porcelain frame and your twig like bones
Don't stand a chance
When I hurl this stone.
So everyone could see the mess
When I picked out the biggest stone
And from my knees down to my toes
Gave the stone a mighty throw
Well now you can't blame anyone but me
The polished glass you could plainly see
A naked man with an outstretched hand
"Oh walk away before I shatter your heart"

Don't stand a chance
When I hurl this stone.

Sayonara Basho
The moon and sun are eternal travelers
Even the years travel on
A lifetime adrift on a boat
Wind blown clouds turning into dreams of wanderings
I swept the cobwebs from the corners of my room
Just in time for the new year
Spring passes
And the birds cry out
Tears in the eyes of fishes
Straightening the spines of prose
I dust off all their shells
When would I see them again?
As the springtime mists begin to rise from the fields
I left my house in the hands of another
And left a verse at my door:
Spring passes
And the birds cry out
Tears in the eyes of fishes
Even the years travel on
A lifetime adrift on a boat
Wind blown clouds turning into dreams of wanderings
I swept the cobwebs from the corners of my room
Just in time for the new year
Spring passes
And the birds cry out
Tears in the eyes of fishes
Straightening the spines of prose
I dust off all their shells
When would I see them again?
As the springtime mists begin to rise from the fields
I left my house in the hands of another
And left a verse at my door:
Spring passes
And the birds cry out
Tears in the eyes of fishes
