Story by the Sea

You and me walked out to the sea
To lay our bones upon our weary skin
and took the day to rest all dreams
You would listen to me
As we laid our heads by the sea
Where I stole
Your heart
And we would watch the sun
Lay down his head
Behind the hills and trees
And wait for night
To tell the tales of home
And listen to the groan
Of time
And you would listen to me
As we laid our heads by the sea
Where I stole you heart
And the tide started to rise
Swept up and carried us away
Been cast off in unknowns
A place where our love will find a way
Then hope in the shape of an anchor
Held us both steady at bay
You would listen to me
As we laid our heads by the sea
Where I stole your heart
